Pepe spoke to the press alongside Zinedine Zidane during Real Madrid's Open Media Day ahead of the Champions League Final against Atlético de Madrid, which will kick off this next Saturday at 20:45 CET.

The Portuguese defender knows that the players can write their names in the history books if they manage to win their second European title in three years.

"We have yet another chance of making history for this club, we play to win and although I'm sure Atlético will do the same, we're 100% focused and ready to play this game," said Pepe.

Pepe said that it will be a 50-50 game against Simeone's men.

"They have quality and they play together like a team, there are no favorites in a Final and whoever plays better will win it," he added.

The Portuguese also praised his coach while sharing some words about Benítez in the process.

"This was possible because our coach is here, we don't know what would've happened with Benítez, we have the chance of winning the Final with this coach and that's what we're excited about," he concluded.
