Real Madrid are known for attempting to sign at least one huge name in the transfer market every summer. It's a philosophy their President, Florentino Perez, established some years ago. This summer it appears they've set their sights on one of the best strikers in the world in Robert Lewandowski.
The Bayern Munich talisman won the Bundesliga golden boot award after banging in 30 goals. Now it seems that Real Madrid want to recruit him to their next Galactico.
Lewandowski's agent has revealed that he has held talks with the Spanish giants over his client's services.
"Real Madrid contacted us a few weeks ago, we listened to everything they said. It's a big and exciting club," Kucharski told the German news magazine Spiegel. "We have informed FC Bayern that we've held talks with Madrid."
Contract extension talks between the Poland striker and Bayern broke down in April, leading to speculation over a possible exit.
If Real Madrid are to land Lewandowski, The Guardian reckons they'll likely have to offer in excess of £50m to lure him away from the Allianz Arena.
