1. THEY'VE DONE IT! A season left for dead at the turn of the year has turned into Madrid's 11(!)th Champions League title! What a season, what a ride, what a performance.

2. This was a rare version of the Madrid Derby that was tame, and generally free of dirty play and antics (with the exception of Pepe's playacting). Each team should be proud of the way they played, and the suffering in the players was visible into extra time. On a hot, humid night in Milan, each team fought like hell for 120 minutes.

3. Atléti's equalizer was out of nowhere. Just seconds after Ronaldo and co. had a few chances to make it 2-0, Atléti came down the field and Carrasco sent the game to extra time. The timing was tough, especially after leading for so long, but Real did well to settle back into possession until extra time.
