Dani Carvajal's tears when he left the pitch during the UEFA Champions League Final were significant. The Spanish right-back felt that he was going to miss quite some time and was afraid of having to sit out the UEFA Euro, and that's what has happened.
El Chiringuito and COPE are reporting that Carvajal will miss the tournament for Spain, even though he was included on Del Bosque's list and was set to be the starting right-back on Spain's defensive line.
Carvajal is still 24 years old and will have plenty of chances to play for Spain, as he's one of the world's best right-backs. Real Madrid signed Danilo last summer and while most fans and pundits expected the Brazilian defender to start, carvajal earned the spot and it looks like he is Madrid's starting right-back going forward.
Carvajal, Marcelo, Varane and Nacho are the Madrid players who will not participate in any tournament with their countries this summer.
