After losing over two legs to UCAM Murcia in the winners' play-off semi-final, Real Madrid Castilla still have another chance to win promotion into Segunda B and entered the draw today along with the other group runners-up for the next stage.  Castilla joined the other beaten group winners Racing de Santander who lost to Reus, and the draw paired Castilla with Lleida; with the first leg to be played away from Madrid.

At first glance it's looking like a difficult tie for Castilla.  Lleida are a strong side who will provide stiff opposition for Castilla coach Luis Ramis' youngsters who found the two games against UCAM to be physically challenging.  It's been well-reported how Luis Ramis wasn't happy; publically querying how the Murcian side managed to finish the first leg with eleven men on the pitch.

No doubt he'll have the lowdown on how Lleida play by now; but the two games will provide another good test for him to see how the youngsters are progressing.

In the other ties, Racing de Santander will provide the opposition for Cádiz; with the first leg to be played in Andalucia this weekend.  Sevilla Atlético came out of the hat away to Logroñés; whilst Hércules de Alicante were paired with Toledo.

The draw is given in full below:

Lleida v Real Madrid Castilla

Cádiz v Racing de Santander

Logroñés v Sevilla Atlético

Toledo v Hércules

While most of the football world will be tuned into Euro 16; there are areas where the domestic games will be given priority.  The eight clubs still involved in the play-off series will continue their domestic season this weekend, with little time for more than a quick breather before match-day comes around again.

Euro 16 will be the last thing on the minds of those still playing.  In Cádiz, Santander, Alicante and such like the focus will be all about the play-offs.  For many clubs, this is what the season has been all about.  Lleida will be thinking the same and they're hardly likely to give Castilla's youngsters an easy passage.
