1. They win the game. No matter the score.
2. The match ends 0-0 and Madrid win in extra-time.
3. The match ends 0-0 and Madrid win the penalty shootout.

Manchester City go through if...

1. They win the game. No matter the score.
2. They get any kind of scoring draw. 1-1, 2-2, 3-3 and so on would all benefit Manchester City.
3. The match ends 0-0 and they win in extra-time.
4. The match ends 0-0 and they get any kind of scoring draw in extra-time.
5. The match ends 0-0 and they win the penalty shootout.
