Real Madrid will go after Manchester United's goalkeeper David De Gea this summer, according to Cadena COPE. Los Blancos already tried to sign him a year ago but the deal fell at the deadline so the Spanish keeper stayed in Manchester while Keylor Navas -- who was going to join the red devils -- conquered Madrid's 11th Champions League title.
If that report is accurate, Madrid feel like they owe De Gea the move. Now that Louis Van Gaal is gone and José Mourinho is the new United coach, negotiations over the keeper could be even more difficult for Madrid, especially if the Portuguese manager makes big signings and build an interesting project in Manchester.
Apparently, Madrid still think De Gea is the world's best goalkeeper although COPE indicated that they are very happy with Keylor Navas' performances this season. The Costa Rican did not make a single mistake and his contribution was something that should be noted.
If De Gea finally signs for Madrid, one has to think that Navas will be dealt as well.
