Important debut game for Gareth Bale and his Welsh teammates. While it would appear that their goal was to make the tournament, Wales have a decent opportunity to make it past the Group Stage if Gareth Bale plays good football. The Real Madrid star can make some decisive plays and matches during these tournaments are usually pretty tight and without many goalscoring chances, something that could benefit Wales.

Slovakia are arguably the weakest side Wales will face in this Group Stage and that's why Bale and his teammates need to get the three points if they want to advance. However, Slovakia could also be a better team than Wales and only Bale's talent could decide the game in their favour.

England and Russia will play after this match and if Hodgson and his pupils get the win, Wales, Russia and Slovakia will fight for a ticket to the next round until the very end.
