Wales earned a convincing 2-1 win over Slovakia and Gareth Bale scored their opening goal off a brilliant free-kick. The Real Madrid star and his teammates are trying to advance to the next round of this UEFA Euro and the three points they obtained today could be crucial down the road, as England could be expected to win all three of their matches in this Group Stage.

Slovakia scored the equalizer during the second half through a goal by Duda, but a late goal by reserve Robson-Kanu gave the dragons the win. Bale is the undisputed leader of his team, even more so after Aaron Ramsey's poor performance in the midfield. If Wales want to advance to the next round, Bale must deliver excellent performances in every game.

England will face Russia in 20 minutes trying to collect their first win in order to make things even with Wales in the group table.
