Mateo Kovacic has reached an agreement with AS Roma to play next season in the Italian Serie A, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
The Croatian has not played enough minutes to continue his development and growth as a player in his first season with Real Madrid, so that's why both the player and the club want to find the proper loan deal that will allow him to improve as a player.
Kovacic has enough potential to be a relevant player for Madrid in the future, so Los Blancos are not considering a permanent deal just yet as they still believe he has a bright future ahead of him.
An earlier report from El Chiringuito indicated that Juventus want to sign Kovacic in the potential deal for Paul Pogba, but Madrid are not considering such thing at the moment, apparently.
Kovacic signed for Madrid last summer and is still 22 years old.
