N'Golo Kanté on Madrid's list, Los Blancos to battle with Arsenal and Manchester United

Zidane wants a midfielder and Kanté could be another option if Pogba is too expensive.

N'Golo Kanté has emerged as one of France's most important players this UEFA Euro. The midfielder just won a surprising Barclays Premier League title with Leicester City and now big clubs are interested in his signing, including Real Madrid, who could turn their attention to Kanté after knowing how expensive their move for Paul Pogba could be, according to El Confidencial.

Pogba has been a disappointment during this Euro and perhaps the interest in kanté is a strategy by Florentino Pérez to decrease the price for Pogba. Clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly following Kanté's footsteps very closely as well, and a deal for the Leicester midfielder could reach €30 million.

Kanté is 25 years old and is not as creative as Pogba. Although his work-rate is brilliant and something that should be taken into account, Real Madrid have a similar player in Casemiro. This report from El Confidencial is probably just a rumour.

Likelihood: 1/10.
