How good would it be for Real Madrid to have a backup striker like Álvaro Morata? While it's clear that Los Blancos could get some big money off his transfer away from the Bernabéu, Madrid don't need the money and it would be a great thing for Zidane to have the Spanish attacker sitting on the bench and competing with Karim Benzema for a starting spot.
However, Morata is now a starter in Spain and he is unlikely to accept a backup role with Madrid. Zidane and Florentino Pérez want to keep him on the roster, according to AS, and they will need to convince him of staying and fight for a chance.
Big Premier League clubs like Manchester United or Arsenal want to sign him, and he doesn't want to stay in Juventus after not playing many minutes under Allegri this season, so Morata might as well end up deciding where he wants to play next.
Morata's agent Juanma López visited the Santiago Bernabéu this Friday but did not make any comments on his way out. Again, it'd be wise for Los Blancos to keep the attacker, but will he accept a bench role?
