Germany still have to clinch the first spot in their group after getting a draw on their previous match against Poland. That's mainly why Joachim Löw has decided to start most of his star players while also making subtle rotations to keep his squad fresh.

Germany Starting XI: Neuer, Kimmich, Boateng, Hummels, Hector, Kroos, Khedira, Götze, Özil, Müller, Mario Gómez.

Northern Ireland Starting XI: McGovern, Hughes, McAuley, Cathcart, J. Evans, Ward, C. Evans, S. Davis, Norwood, Dallas, Washington.

It's clear that Germany are the heavy favourites in this one, but they still have to earn the three points and make some improvements if they want to fight for the European title.

Kroos has been excellent in the midfield but Germany have not been as creative upfront as their lineup could suggest, especially considering that they have high-caliber players like Özil, Müller or Draxler on their team. Either way, Gómez playing as a pure striker could be useful for Löw and his coaching staff.
