After a disappointing season with Real Madrid and rumors of a transfer away from the club, James Rodríguez came into this fixture vs. Paraguay with a point to prove. With barely 11 minutes on the clock, James whipped in an accurate corner that Carlos Bacca buried into the back of the net.

James continued to probe Paraguay and lead the line for Colombia, causing him to become a menace for his markers with his shooting and dribbling. This eventually paid off in tangible terms when James pounced on a poor clearance and smashed a powerful shot past the keeper.

Overall it has been a fantastic performance from James, something that will surely make his potential suitors' mouths water.
