Isco set to sign a contract extension

Zidane wants him to stay and he feels relevant again.

Isco Alarcón's representatives are visiting the Bernabéu these days to negotiate a contract extension for their client. The Spanish playmaker and Real Madrid want to sign a new deal as the current one expires two years from now.

It hasn't been an easy season for Isco as he stayed on the bench for most of the games under Rafa Benítez, and while it appeared that he would be a much more relevant player with Zidane, Isco had to wait until the end of the season to get a relevant role again.

Coach Zidane wants him to stay with the team and even though he will sign the extension, Isco could still consider his options and accept an offer from other clubs that are ready to give him the minutes he needs/deserves. Los Blancos are apparently set to sign Paul Pogba away from Juventus and that wouldn't make things any easier for Isco, so nobody knows for certain where he will play next year even if he signs that new deal.
