Valencia announced the signing of Álvaro Medrán today. Here's what the club published on their site.
Valencia Club de Fútbol have reached an agreement with Real Madrid CF for the signing of midfielder Álvaro Medrán, who joins on a four-year deal until June 30th, 2020.
The player, born on March 15th, 1994 in Cordoba, Spain, was brought through the youth ranks at Real Madrid and made appearances for the first team in La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Champions League.
Medrán spent the 2015/16 season on loan in the Primera División with Getafe CF, enjoying an impressive campaign in which he played in 20 games and scored two goals. He is an international at Under-19 and Under-21 level for Spain.
Real Madrid reportedly included a buyback clause on Medrán's deal with Valencia. The midfielder spent last season on loan with Getafe and had no room in Real's squad.
