Real Madrid will not sell Álvaro Morata this summer, according to AS. The club told Morata's agent Juanma López that they intend to keep the striker with them for at least this season, saying "no" to big clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United or Arsenal who were interested in the Spanish attacker.

Morata spent two seasons with Juventus and Real Madrid decided to buy him back this summer, triggering the clause that was included on his contract with the Italian side. Morata feels like he deserves to be a relevant player in Madrid and that seemed almost impossible as every member of the BBC is an undisputed starter, so several reports suggested that Morata was going to leave the club this summer.

However, it now seems that Madrid are ready to sign Morata to a better deal in order to keep him. He will fight with Karim Benzema for his minutes, although he might have a good chance of making the starting lineup now that Cristiano Ronaldo injured his knee and will be out for a while.
