Both FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested in Brazilian attacker Gabriel Jesús, who plays for Palmeiras. The two teams wanted to have a meeting with executives from Palmeiras but only Madrid managed to get it and talk about the player, according to Sport.
While most teams want Gabriel Jesús to join them this very same summer, Barcelona would be interested in a future deal, per that same report.
Jesús, who is still 19 years old, will be playing for the Brazilian national team in the Olympics next month. Earlier reports suggested that Barcelona star Neymar was going to use that tournament to convince Jesús of joining Barcelona, although it now seems that Madrid are leading the race for the attacker.
A deal for Jesús could reach €25 million, and president Florentino Pérez wants to avoid losing another Brazilian gem after what happened with Neymar several years ago, when the star turned down a Madrid offer to join Barcelona.
