Real Madrid begin pre-season

Some members of the roster passed their medicals ahead of their trip to Canada.

Casemiro, Marcelo, Benzema, Isco and some more members of Real Madrid's squad reported back in Valdebebas this morning to pass their medicals ahead of the team's trip to Canada to begin the pre-season. Florentino Pérez greeted the players and wished them good luck for the season ahead. Here's what Realmadrid.com published about the meeting.

Florentino Pérez was at Real Madrid City to welcome the team on their return to pre-season training ahead of the 2016/17 campaign. The president greeted Zidane and the players on the day of their medical check-ups prior to the trip to Montreal where Real Madrid will begin training.

Real Madrid's first pre-season game will be played on July 28th against Paris Saint-Germain. As usual, members of the roster will report for training in Canada depending on how successful their countries were this summer. Cristiano Ronaldo is not expected to travel with the team as he will stay in Madrid recovering from his knee injury.
