Both Álvaro Morata and Lucas Vázquez are back in Valdebebas to pass the medicals before traveling to Canada to meet with the rest of the squad, even though they could've spent more days away.
It seems that both players are ready to fight for a spot with their teammates and they know how important a good pre-season could be for their minutes throughout the season. Morata is set to compete with Benzema for a spot in the XI and the French striker is already training with the squad, so it will be good for him to join the squad in Canada.
Real Madrid will play their first pre-season game against PSG on July 28th, and maybe both Morata and Vázquez will be available. The next players who will join Madrid's camp are James, Modric and Sergio Ramos, with Kroos, Ronaldo, Pepe and Bale still enjoying some more days off after their successful run in the UEFA Euro 2016.
