Real Madrid have officially confirmed that Borja Mayoral will spend next season on loan with Wolfsburg. The player already left Real Madrid's training camp in Montreal to finalize his deal with the German club, which reportedly includes a clause stating that the striker must feature a minimum number of matches.
"I am joining Wolfsburg to have more experience and do my best in order to come back in the future," said Mayoral to Realmadrid.com.
"They are one of the biggest clubs in Germany and I am very happy about this new opportunity for my career," he added.
Madrid thought this would be a good opportunity for Mayoral to be relevant in a big club and then come back to the club and be an important player, just like Dani Carvajal did four years ago when he played for Bayer Leverkusen on a similar deal to the one Borja Mayoral and Wolfsburg just signed.
