Will Los Blancos show improvement?

Zinedine Zidane wants his team to step up and improve from their mediocre performance against PSG last Wednesday. The French manager might have James, Ramos and Modric at his disposal, but those three players will need time to get in better condition ahead of the Super Cup against Sevilla. On the other hand, Benzema will miss the friendly again with a hip injury that could keep him out until the third match against Bayern or even until the Super Cup.

Marco Asensio, Mateo Kovacic and Jesé Rodríguez are still fighting for a spot in the first team this year. Zidane is "very happy" with Asensio's performance but also said that "there are big players in Madrid," meaning that Asensio could be relegated to a very minor role if he finally stays. The same could happen to Kovacic and Jesé.

All in all, Chelsea have already played three friendlies, so expect the London-based club to play with intensity and be a very problematic opponent for Madrid.
