The stage is set. Reigning world champions Germany will face host France for a spot in the Final against Cristiano Ronaldo. It will not be easy for Kroos and his teammates to overcome all the support France will have in Marseille and that could easily translate to some pressure for the referee as well.
However, Germany's possession-oriented style gives them the edge to play with composure and prevent France from having dangerous opportunities often. Neither team has performed up to the expectations created before the tournament began, but Germany are still arguably the better team so France are considered the underdogs in this match.
Toni Kroos has been a crucial piece in Germany's system, arguably their most important player so far. He will face Paul Pogba, who has been rumored to be on Real Madrid's radar during this transfer market, so this match should be a very interesting one. Could they be teammates in a few weeks?
