Ødegaard and Mariano set to leave Real Madrid on loan deals

They need minutes.

Mariano Díaz and Martin Ødegaard will leave Real Madrid in the upcoming days being sent on loan deals to give them the minutes they need to develop.

Castilla's lack of success on their road to promotion last year has been devastating for these two players, who could've stayed with Real's b-team playing in a fairly competitive division like Segunda. However, the Segunda B is nowhere near as good for them and they will have to leave the club.

Mariano has received offers from Villarreal, Porto and Málaga. Those three clubs seem to be quite interesting for him, but it looks like Porto might get the deal done considering their good relationship with Real's board.

Ødegaard, on the other hand, could've joined some teams in the Bundesliga and some reports even suggested that Liverpool were after him. It seems that Rennes and West Ham are the ones leading the race for the Norwegian talent, though.
