If Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema's injuries were not enough, Álvaro Morata --who was set to be an undisputed starter in Real Madrid's first Liga match against Real Sociedad-- was hurt during today's training session and is now questionable for said game.

Morata reportedly dropped some weight on his foot, and while those first reports do not mention anything serious, it could be painful enough to keep him out of the starting lineup.

Morata will be competing with Karim Benzema for a spot in the XI all season long, and the Spanish striker should take advantage of every opportunity he's given, even if those opportunities come when Benzema is recovering from his hip injury. This is obviously very unlucky for Morata, although the player will surely try to recover in time for the opener.

If he's finally forced to miss the game, Zidane will have to start Gareth Bale upfront unless he decides to give Mariano the chance to start.
