Gareth Bale has not completed a single training session with the rest of Real Madrid's squad this preseason, but the Welshman still wants to make Zidane's starting XI in the upcoming Super Cup Final which will be played next Tuesday against Sevilla.
According to Jugones, Bale has been taking care of his body all summer long ever since Wales got knocked out of the UEFA Euro 2016.
Bale has always been injury-prone and it will be very important for Zinedine Zidane to rotate him often this season. Real Madrid will feature in around 60 official matches if they do well enough and Bale cannot start all of them. In fact, he should probably rest on the UEFA Super Cup Final, considering that his teammates will be in better condition but also Sevilla's defenders. Even if Bale has stayed in shape, he doesn't have the rhythm to play the whole game.
