Zinedine Zidane has decided to keep both Toni Kroos and Gareth Bale out of the squad list for the UEFA Super Cup Final against Sevilla. Pepe and Cristiano Ronaldo will also miss the game.

While this was a fairly easy decision for Zidane, some reports from Spain indicated that Bale wanted to feature.

However, Karim Benzema was included on the list and should be able to feature if Zidane sees him fit enough. The Frenchman missed all three friendlies played by Real Madrid in the preseason stage, so he might not be ready enough to play all 90 minutes.

Modric, James and Ramos should also be ready to start, even though they started training quite late.

All things considered, Zidane might start Carvajal, Ramos, Varane and Marcelo on defense with Casemiro, Isco and Modric in the midfield. Morata, Vázquez and James could play upfront and Benzema could come off the bench if needed.

Goalkeepers: Casilla, Yáñez and Luca.
Defenders: Carvajal, Ramos, Varane, Nacho, Danilo and Marcelo.
Midfielders: James, Casemiro, Kovacic, Modric, Isco, Asensio and M. Llorente.
Attackers: Benzema, Lucas Vázquez, Morata and Mariano.
