Real Madrid will try to do what no other club has done in the Champions League: winning the title twice in a row. They will begin their quest tonight by hosting Sporting Portugal at the Santiago Bernabeu, a game they should handle if they take it seriously enough.
Zinedine Zidane decided to rotate some key players like Carvajal, Marcelo and Casemiro during Osasuna's visit last Saturday, so those three players will most likely make the starting lineup tonight.
Real Madrid Projected XI: Casilla, Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo, Casemiro, Kroos, Modric, Bale, Ronaldo, Benzema.
Sporting Portugal Projected XI: Rui Patricio, Joao Pereira, Coates, Jefferson, Schelotto, Silva, William Carvalho, Castaignos, Bryan Ruiz, Campbell, Dost.
Sporting have an interesting squad and Real Madrid will need to be careful with their offensive line. Dost is a good finisher while Ruiz, Castaignos and Campbell are quick enough to be dangerous when counterattacking. Los Blancos should control the midfield and force Sporting to defend most of the time.
