FIFA 17 announces Ronaldo as the highest ranked player, Barcelona's Messi and Neymar behind

Cristiano Ronaldo will be FIFA 17's highest ranked player with a 94 overall rating. Messi will be second with 93 and Neymar 3rd with 92.

Messi has been FIFA's cover athlete for the last few years, but he won't be this season and he is probably paying the price. Cristiano Ronaldo could add yet another Ballon D'Or to his resume after his brilliant season for Real Madrid and this could also be the reason behind his rating.

Either way, EA Sports like to update their ratings throughout the season depending on the form of the players, so Ronaldo will have to perform well if he wants to be the best player in the game all year long.

FIFA will launch in late September on PC, XBOX One and PS4, featuring Dortmund's Marco Reus on the cover.
