Mateo Kovacic will have a good chance to prove he can be a relevant player when Villarreal visit the Bernabeu today in the fifth week of La Liga. Casemiro and Luka Modric have not been included in Real Madrid's list for this match and therefore coach Zinedine Zidane will be forced to play with two reserves in the midfield and Toni Kroos playing as a deep midfielder.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale will be back with the team after missing the last game against Espanyol. Zinedine Zidane said last Saturday that he will use the BBC "every time" if they are "100% ready to go", so fans should expect to see Karim Benzema starting upfront as well, even though Morata could probably use a start to prove himself.

Pepe is also out, so Varane will play alongside Ramos in the center of Real Madrid's defense, with Danilo possibly giving Carvajal some rest.
