Bad news for Kiko Casilla. Keylor Navas will be back with the squad this Saturday after missing the first games of the season with a heel injury that required surgery to be repaired. The Costa Rican goalkeeper was the undisputed starter for Madrid between the sticks last season and this one should be no different.
Backup goalkeeper Kiko Casilla has been replacing Navas ever since he got injured and his performances have been very solid, although he has not showed the flashes of brilliance Navas usually delivers. Navas could still stay on the bench against Las Palmas and then make the starting lineup next week against Dortmund, as Zidane did not confirm whether the Costa Rican will be starting any time soon.
Navas stayed in Madrid all summer long rehabbing after surgery, and it has paid off as he has only missed five La Liga games and one Champions League match.
