Borussia Dortmund 2-2 Real Madrid, 2016 Champions League: All goals and highlights

Los Blancos could not win the three points.

Real Madrid have wasted a one-goal lead twice over the 90 minutes for the second straight game, and even though their performance against Borussia Dortmund was solid, it'd be fair to admit that the German side deserved to get something out of this match.

Zinedine Zidane made a surprising decision when he chose James to play in the midfield instead of Kovacic, who could have provided a bigger physical presence in the center of the pitch. Keylor Navas also made his return to the starting XI and the Costa Rican made a big mistake on Dortmund's first goal that tied the game. Zidane's substitutions were a bit controversial again as he decided to introduce Kovacic and Morata for James and Benzema when Isco could have given Madrid more control of the tempo of the game.

A 2-2 draw away from the Bernabeu is a positive result as long as Madrid manage to win every game remaining in this Group Stage, even their rematch against Dortmund at the Bernabeu.
