Real Madrid secured a spot in today's draw of the Copa del Rey's Quarterfinals after drawing 3-3 against Sevilla, a team they'll be facing this next Sunday in La Liga as well.
Sampaoli's side got an early lead after an own-goal by Danilo but Los Blancos managed to get a very valuable away goal when Marco Asensio scored an impressive goal in the 48th minute of the game. Jovetic scored for Sevilla shortly after and then Iborra gave the Andalusian team a 3-1 lead which gave them hope with just 15 minutes to go. However, Ramos and Benzema scored during the last 10 minutes to give Real the draw and keep the unbeaten run alive, as Los Blancos have not recorded a loss over their last 40 matches.
In the end, Madrid will need to do much better this next Sunday if they want to get the three points at Sevilla's Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, but they took care of business even though key players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Modric, Isco, or James had to miss the game.
