BREAKING: Marcelo and Modric will miss a month

Real Madrid are in big trouble as Marcelo and Luka Modric will miss the next month with injuries.

Marcelo had to leave Saturday's match against Malaga after pulling his hamstring early in the game, while Modric's problems didn't look as serious but reports from Spain indicate that he'll have to miss a month as well.

Pepe, Gareth Bale, Carvajal and James are injured right now, so Real Madrid have a very depleted squad which will have to keep their lead in La Liga table.

It is very hard to be competitive in La Liga, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey with such a thin squad like the one Zidane has at his disposal right now.

Expect Mateo Kovacic to replace Modric in the midfield after his good performances early this season, while Nacho will most likely be the one playing on the left side of Madrid's defensive line during Marcelo's absence.
