Real Madrid just published Luka Modric's medical report after the Croatian midfielder had to leave Saturday's match against Malaga.
Following tests carried out today on Luka Modric at the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital, he has been diagnosed with a strain in his right abductor muscle. His recovery will continue to be assessed.
As always, Real Madrid did not confirm how long Modric will be out, but reports from Spain suggest that the Croatian midfielder will be out less than a month as the injury is not as serious as initially expected.
Mateo Kovacic will most likely be the one player replacing Modric this time, as he completed some very good performances early this season while Modric and Kroos were injured. Kovacic has not been a very relevant player since Zidane had every midfielder at his disposal but he proved to be ready to perform when given the chance.
However, it's clear that Real Madrid will miss Modric's creativity down the road.
