Real Madrid just published Marcelo's medical report, confirming that the Brazilian defender pulled his hamstring and could be out at least a month.

Following tests carried out today on Marcelo at the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital, he has been diagnosed with a grade 2 muscle injury in his left hamstring. His recovery will continue to be assessed.

Real Madrid are in trouble here, as Marcelo is clearly the undisputed starter for Los Blancos. He doesn't have a natural replacement in the squad —given that Coentrao has barely played this season— and Nacho will most likely be the one playing on the left side of the defensive line now, with Danilo playing on the right until Carvajal comes back from his injury.

Marcelo's creativity will be missed and it will be very important for Madrid to make sure that he is 100% ready to go when he steps on the field again.
