Alvaro Morata might be considering a potential return to Juventus next summer, according to Italian newspaper Il Corriere Dello Sport. The Spanish attacker hasn't been getting many relevant minutes under Zinedine Zidane and expected a bigger role when Madrid decided to bring him back from the Serie A, although it was clear from the beginning that Karim Benzema was always going to be the undisputed starter when healthy.
Morata has played well when given the chance, scoring 9 goals in 934 minutes played this season. However, he has not been that good whenever Benzema was out of the team, so he has not earned a spot in the starting lineup.
It would be very good for Real Madrid to have a backup attacker like Alvaro Morata, but it seems that he's not willing to play that role. This report doesn't come out of nowhere and Morata probably wants to see his minutes increased. He should have plenty of chances throughout January, given Madrid's busy schedule.
