Real Madrid just published Pepe's medical report and it seems that the Portuguese defender will miss quite some time with a calf injury.

Following the tests carried out on Pepe at the Sanitas la Moraleja University Hospital, the player has been diagnosed with a grade 2 injury to the inner calf muscle of his left leg. His recovery will continue to be assessed.

Considering that Sergio Ramos is also injured and expected to miss the next couple of games for Real Madrid, it seems that Nacho and Varane will be the ones defending Real's goal against Sevilla in the Copa del Rey. Ramos could be back for the Liga match against Sampaoli's men, however.

Pepe joins Lucas Vazquez, Sergio Ramos, Gareth Bale and Mateo Kovacic in Real Madrid's injury report. Prior to the Christmas break, Gareth Bale was Madrid's only man injured.

Zidane and his men will have a very tough month of January and these injuries will not help their case.
