The good ol’ people at DiarioGol are at it again! This time, they’re reporting that Real Madrid are so desperate to sign the fantastic Harry Kane that they’re willing to trade Karim Benzema for the 24-year-old Tottenham idol. Doesn’t sound too far-fetched, right? Oh right, I forgot to mention, that, it also mentions that Real Madrid will also offer Luka Modric and Gareth Bale as well. Oh and more money.

That’s right, Harry Kane’s supposed value according to Spurs is currently 200 million Euros. Let that sink in. 200. Million. Of course, Florentino Perez is just desperate to let go of his “World’s best No. 9” as he showed the world by letting go of Chelsea’s current top scorer in favour of him. I mean, that’s the only thing you can do when you want to get rid of your starting striker!
However, this isn’t all about Benzema. Gareth Bale and Luka Modric are also supposed to be on the chopping block now. It’s not like Perez himself has stated that he’s not contemplating selling Bale due to his importance to Real Madrid or anything at all. No, of course not...

Yet, the most baffling part is that Luka Modric is supposedly going to be offered as part of the deal as well. I mean, it’s one thing to offer a striker for another to replace him, but giving them Modric? One of the most important components of the squad that has won the last three-out-of-four Champions Leagues, a dynamic player with magnificent qualities that is pure magic on the pitch? Totally. Loads of sense on this transfer. Because everyone knows that Zizou has no more faith or need for him.

Honestly, this has got to be the dumbest rumour I’ve read thus far, and it’s not even really news. So let’s just take a moment to appreciate the absurdity of it all.
