Karim Benzema will be available for Saturday’s away match against Getafe as he has already recovered from the hamstring injury he picked up when Real Madrid hosted Levante. Marcelo and Theo Hernandez will also be ready to play, according to reports from Spain.
Benzema’s return to the pitch will most definitely move Cristiano Ronaldo away from the center-forward position, a role which has made him look quite uncomfortable lately. It will be interesting to see if Benzema’s presence benefits the Portuguese star, who is still trying to score his first goal in the 2017-18 La Liga.
Gareth Bale, Mateo Kovacic and Dani Carvajal are the only players on the injury report —alongside the questionable Keylor Navas— and might need at least two or three more weeks before they can contribute.
Real Madrid will also host Tottenham next Tuesday in what could be a crucial game in this Champions League Group Stage, so Zidane could make some rotations against Getafe.
