UEFA have appointed Szymon Marciniak as the referee in charge for the Champions League game between Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspurs which will be played on Tuesday —20:45 CET, Estadio Santiago Bernabeu—.

The Polish official Szymon Marciniak has been appointed to referee the Champions League match day 3 group stage encounter between Real Madrid and Tottenham at the Santiago Bernabéu (Tuesday, 8:45pm CEST). It will be the third time that the Polish official has overseen a game involving Real Madrid in the competition.

Last season he oversaw the clash between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund (2-2) corresponding to the Champions League group stage game, also part of the match day 6 fixtures. In the 2015-2016 he refereed the last-16 clash between Real Madrid and Roma (2-0).

It will be extremely important for Real Madrid to get this home win as Los Blancos are currently even on points with the London-based club.
