Zinedine Zidane spoke in press conference ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League match against Tottenham —20:45 CET—. Both teams are on six points, so the winner of this game could very well earn a solid lead for the three remaining games in the Champions League Group Stage.
"We give all sides the maximum respect and face big tests. We have two games versus Spurs. The first ‘final’ tomorrow - a ‘final of the group’ - two sides on same points in the group,” said Zidane.
"We want to play a good game - I think it will be a good game for everyone who likes football, they’ll see a good game. Hopefully we get the three points,” he added.
Real’s coach also had some words to say about Harry Kane, who has been leading Tottenham this season.
"I don’t know what will be of Kane’s future, but I can talk about the here and now. He’s a fundamental player for Spurs; he’s very good at everything, what he does is score goals. He’s not a static player, he always finds space and is quick. He’s a complete player,” said Zidane.
Zidane will be coaching his 100th game for Real Madrid. It’s been quite a ride for him and Los Blancos.
"I’m not going to give myself a mark – I’m happy," said the Madrid boss. "My dream was always to play in Spain, I’m at the best club in the world and my passion is still coaching this club and hopefully I’ll get at least another 10 games,” he said.
