Harry Kane completed a solid performance against Real Madrid last Tuesday even though he missed two good opportunities to score. The British attacker is reportedly on Madrid’s radar and he shared some nice words about Cristiano Ronaldo after the match concluded.

“I wanted to swap shirts with him after the game so I asked him. He was a role model for me growing up and it’s a nice shirt to have, I’ll frame it. I gave him mine but I don’t know what he will do with it,” said Kane.

Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane praised Kane’s style of play and the attacker showed his gratitude for the comments.

“I try to use these comments in a positive way, they help a striker and I use them as motivation, just like the rest of the team. We’re all working hard but it’s true that I might be getting all of the attention because I’m the one scoring the goals,” added Kane.

Real Madrid will have to face the British attacker one more time when they visit Tottenham.
