Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale will almost surely miss the team’s trip to face Tottenham at Wembley next Wednesday even though it looked like he was going to have more than enough time to recover for this game when he picked up his injury more than a month ago.
Reports from Spain suggest that it looks like neither Bale nor Keylor Navas will be available against Tottenham.
It’s clear that Bale’s history with injuries forces Real Madrid to be extremely careful with his recovery if they want him to contribute down the road. Bale tried to rush his return to the pitch last season to play against Barcelona and ended up missing more games and starting off the bench in the Champions League Final.
Still, Real Madrid have every reason to be frustrated with this situation, as Bale had scored a good gale against Dortmund and completed a good performance right before picking up his injury.
