Real Madrid visit Wembley to face Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham just three days after suffering a shocking defeat in Girona, one which could very well end Madrid’s chances at winning La Liga just ten games after Los Blancos began their defense of the title.

Furthermore, Madrid will need a good result this Wednesday. Tottenham managed to complete a good game at the Santiago Bernabeu and deserved the 1-1 draw they earned. That match puts Los Blancos in a tough spot as they must beat Tottenham if they want to control their own destiny in the Champions League group stage. There’s no need for Zidane and the coaching staff to push the panic button just yet as Dortmund’s mediocre European campaign all but clinches Madrid a spot in the Round of 16, although it’s clear that Los Blancos should be trying to win their group.

Real Madrid predicted XI: Casilla, Achraf, Nacho, Varane, Marcelo, Casemiro, Kroos, Modric, Asensio, Ronaldo, Benzema.

Out: Carvajal, Bale, Kovacic, Varane, Keylor Navas.

Tottenham predicted XI: Lloris, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Dier, Aurier, Eriksen, Winks, Dembele, Vertonghen, Alli, Kane.

Out: Wanyama.

Questionable: Kane.
