The German national team decided to let midfielder Toni Kroos fly back to Madrid after he felt some pain during their 1-3 win against Norther Ireland. Kroos will now have one week to recover from that small niggle as Madrid will face Getafe on Saturday, October 14th.

Still, Zinedine Zidane could decide to give Kroos some more time as it will be important for Real Madrid to have him completely ready to go when Los Blancos host Tottenham.
Kroos has pain on his rib but neither Germany nor Real Madrid have published a medical report about him, meaning that he will almost certainly be recovered fairly soon.
“We know the kind of player he is and we can trust him. The decisive factor for us is that we want our players to be completely healthy throughout the season so that they can also be ready when we play the 2018 World Cup,” said Joachim Low after the game.
