Real Sociedad right-back Alvaro Odriozola could be on Real Madrid’s radar if their own Dani Carvajal isn’t ready to play when the next transfer window opens in January, according to reports from Spain. Onda Cero reported this weekend that Carvajal could be training with the squad next week but right now that should be taken with a grain of salt and the right-back might need to spend some months on the sidelines.
Odriozola will turn 22 years old in December and earned his first cap for the Spanish national team against Albania. He’s a very intriguing prospect who’s performing very well for Real Sociedad but Carvajal will be available sooner or later, meaning that this signing could become unnecessary as soon as Carvajal recovers from his pericarditis.
Still, Odriozola fits Real’s transfer policy. He’s young enough, has room to develop into a great player and a potential move to the Spanish capital should not be ruled out just yet.
