Real Madrid midfielder Isco Alarcon is now questionable for next Saturday’s away match against Atletico de Madrid after leaving the field of play with a suspected injury he picked up in Spain’s friendly against Costa Rica.
Isco suffers a bruise on his leg after a very strong tackle by one Costa Rica player. The midfielder tried to stay in the game but asked Julen Lopetegi to come out shortly after, indicating that he was not feeling well enough to play.
It will be interesting to see what Real Madrid do with Isco now that there’s less than a week remaining until the crucial away match against Atletico. Los Blancos desperately need to beat their neighbors and Isco has been one of the few bright spots this season, meaning that if he’s forced to miss the game it would be a catastrophic loss for Zidane and his coaching staff now that Gareth Bale is not available either.
