Croatia have qualified for the 2018 World Cup next summer in Russia. Greece were unable to come back from the three goal deficit from the first leg as they were held to a 0-0 draw. During a rather dismal night, the only most glaring chance on goal came from a Perisic shot off the post just before halftime.

Croatia have qualified for their fifth World Cup (1998, 2002, 2006, 2014, 2018). After coming third in tournament in their 1998 WC debut, Croatia have since failed to make it out of the group stage. This will be Luka Modric’s third WC tournament appearance and Matteo Kovacic’s first.

At the moment, according to, put Croatia at 33-1 odds to win the tournament.

In total, 14 Real Madrid players will be in the World Cup next year!
