Keylor Navas doubtful for Madrid Derby against Atletico

Real Madrid starting goalkeeper Keylor Navas is now considered doubtful for Saturday’s Madrid Derby against Atletico de Madrid even though it looked like he would only need around 10 days to recover from his small injury.

Most reports coming from Spain indicate that Navas’ presence has been “almost ruled out” and therefore Kiko Casilla will be the one defending Real Madrid’s goal in the crucial match at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Los Blancos are already eight points behind Barcelona in the table and can’t afford to drop any more points this early in the season, so they need to take care of business in what will be a very intense and tough away match for them.

This will also be the first time Real Madrid play in Atletico’s new Wanda Metropolitano. Simeone and his men have been struggling badly this season and will almost surely play in the UEFA Europa League after a poor Group Stage in the Champions League.
